Standard First Aid Training

Red Cross Emergency First Aid (EFA) training is recognized as an acceptable First Aid certification in British Columbia. In other provinces of Canada, Red Cross Standard First Aid (SFA) training is usually the required workplace certification. MediQuest offers both SFA and EFA courses.

Standard First Aid

Emergency First Aid vs. OFA Level 1

In British Columbia workplace First Aid Certification is governed by WorkSafeBC regulations. In general, workplaces are required to have certified First Aid Attendants. It is acceptable to have Red Cross Emergency First aid certification as an equivalent to Occupational First Aid Level 1. This is the lowest level of certification for workplaces in BC. For higher hazard, larger or more remote workplaces Occupational First Aid Level 2 (36 hours) or Occupational First Aid Level 3 (70 hours) may be required.

MediQuest is a Red Cross Training Partner

MediQuest is a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner and offers all levels of Red Cross training. For customers with workplaces outside British Columbia MediQuest provides First Aid Certification at the Emergency (EFA) or Standard First Aid (SFA) level according to the Provincial workplace requirement.
